PEC Endorses Wooley for Mayor
Tuesday, Aug 24, 2010 3:52pm

After hearing from both Republican candidates in the Mayor’s race, the Parish Executive Committee endorsed Bryan Wooley. Wooley has represented his district on the City Council effectively and with high energy. He has demonstrated his concern for all areas of the city as evidenced by his willingness to speak out on the administration’s numerous shortcomings in all districts. Wooley is a successful businessman and applies business principles to his council decisions and has offered innovative solutions to issues. The PEC believes that experience on the City Council is an extremely important qualification for a new mayor. This belief is obviously shared by the voters since they have not elected a mayor without previous experience on the City Council since 1982 . This, along with his other unique qualifications sets him apart from the other candidates in the race. Our readers are encouraged to support Bryan in his efforts to be the next Mayor of Shreveport. Parish Executive Committee Endorses Senator Vitter
Friday, Jul 30, 2010 1:31pm

The Parish Executive Committee has endorsed the re-election of Senator David Vitter for another term. Senator Vitter has been a consistent opponent of illegal immigration, ObamaCare, Cap & Trade (Tax), Dues Check-off that eliminates the bed rock of our society – the secret ballot, deficit spending, the appointment of liberal judges like Kagen and other liberal issues too numerous to list. He has also been in the forefront of the battle against the ban on drilling in the Gulf of Mexico.  It does not seem reasonable to swap a proven conservative for someone with no Senate Seniority and can only promise to be as conservative as Senator Vitter. The PEC encourages you to support Senator Vitter in his re-election bid which will begin in the Saturday, August 28 Party primary election.  [more]

Parish Executive Committee Endorses Congressman Fleming
Friday, Jul 30, 2010 1:30pm

The Parish Executive Committee has endorsed Congressman John Fleming for re-election to the U. S. House of Representatives. Dr. Fleming has distinguished himself as a hard working vocal conservative during his first term. He earned nationwide recognition during the debate on Health Care Reform for his bill to force members of congress to participate in the same health insurance that they were about to impose on everyone else. He is among a very small number of his colleagues that has earned a perfect 100 score on the American Conservative Union’s 2009 voting scorecard. He has also received awards and recognition from a number of prestigious conservative organizations.

True to his campaign promise, he has spent an enormous amount of time in the district at town hall and other meetings. Congressman Fleming does not straddle the fence on issue. You know exactly where he stands. The PEC encourages you to support Dr. Fleming in his re-election bid.
